Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Professor Roy Mukwena was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Republic of Zambia in London.

Mrs. Mukwena was also received by Her Majesty.

His Excellency Mr. Mauricio Rodriguez-Munera was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Colombia to the Court of St. James’s.

Mrs. Sugey Pinzon Alonzo was also received by Her Majesty.

Mr. James Bevan (Director General, Foreign and Commonwealth Office) was present.

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres, this evening attended the Anna Valentine Fashion Show, Royal Courts of Justice, Strand, London WC2, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, today carried out the following engagements in Mexico.

His Royal Highness this morning attended a briefing from the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology at the Intercontinental Hotel, Mexico City.

The Duke of York later visited the Emiliano Zapata Pemex Gas Compression Station in Xalapa.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Luncheon given by the Governor of Veracruz at the Museo de Antropologia in Xalapa and subsequently viewed the mobile Science Laboratory.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Reception for Chevening Scholars and members of the English-Speaking Union of the Commonwealth given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the United Mexican States (Her Excellency Ms. Judith MacGregor) at the Intercontinental Hotel.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Dinner with Mexican business leaders at the Intercontinental Hotel.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, this afternoon attended a training course “Supporting Children with Speech Language and Communication Needs in the Mainstream Classroom” at Braeside Education Centre, Bath Road, Devizes, and was received by Lieutenant Colonel James Arkell (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Wiltshire).

The Princess Royal, Member, today attended the International Olympic Committee Session at the Westin Bayshore Hotel, Vancouver, Canada.

Her Royal Highness, President, British Olympic Association, this evening attended a Reception at the Terminal City Club, 837 West Hasting Street, Vancouver.

The Duke of Kent, Colonel, this morning visited the Scots Guards on exercise on Salisbury Plain, Wiltshire.
