COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

General Sir Timothy Granville-Chapman (Master Gunner, St. James’s Park, and Colonel Commandant, the Honourable Artillery Company) was received by The Queen today.

Mr. Justice Edwards-Stuart was received by The Queen upon his appointment as a Justice of the High Court when Her Majesty conferred upon him the honour of Knighthood and invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Bachelor.

The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr. Keith Allan (Turkmenistan) and Mrs. Sandra Tyler-Haywood (the State of Eritrea).

Mr. Ian Haywood was also received by Her Majesty.

Mr. John Kidd was received in audience by The Queen upon his appointment as British High Commissioner to the Republic of Cyprus.

Mrs. Kidd was also received by Her Majesty.

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited Broughton St. Mary’s Parish Church, Bellevue Crescent, Edinburgh.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, this morning attended the Leadership Team Conference at East Winter Garden, 43 Bank Street, Canary Wharf, London E14.

His Royal Highness, President, Arts and Business, afterwards held a Meeting at Clarence House.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts, and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended the World Film Premiere of Alice in Wonderland at the Odeon Cinema, Leicester Square, London WC2.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Debt Doctors Foundation UK at Melcombe Primary School and Children’s Centre, Fulham Palace Road, London W6, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this morning received Mr. Jan du Plessis (Chairman, Rio Tinto).

His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this afternoon received Mr. Paul Skinner (Chairman, Infrastructure UK).

The Princess Royal, Patron, Tenovus, this morning visited a Mobile Cancer Support Unit at Cwmbran Stadium, Henllys Way, Cwmbran, Monmouthshire, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gwent (Mr. Simon Boyle).

Her Royal Highness later opened Newport High School, Bettws Lane, Newport, Monmouthshire.

The Princess Royal, President, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, this afternoon attended a Carers Policy Debate at Hilton Hotel, Kingsway, Cardiff, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of South Glamorgan (Dr. Peter Beck).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened Essex Young Farmers Centre, Whitbreads Farm, Whitbreads Farm Lane, Chatham Green, Chelmsford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (the Lord Petre).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Farleigh Hospice, North Court Road, Chelmsford.

The Duke of Gloucester later visited the Royal Horticultural Society Garden, Hyde Hall, Rettendon, Essex.

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the new extension at Chelmsford Museum, Oaklands Park, Moulsham Street, Chelmsford.

The Duke of Gloucester, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Anglian Regiment, afterwards visited the Chapel of The Royal Anglian Regiment and the Essex Regiment, Clive Road, Warley, Essex.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Colonel, Scots Guards, was present this morning at Royal Air Force Lyneham for the Repatriation of a member of 1st Battalion who recently lost their life in Afghanistan.
