Buckingham Palace
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh today visited Devon and were received on arrival this morning at Exeter St. Davids Railway Station by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Mr. Eric Dancer) and the Lord Mayor of Exeter (Councillor John Winterbottom), who surrendered to The Queen the Exeter City Cap and Sword of Maintenance, which Her Majesty returned to him.
The Queen, Patron, and The Duke of Edinburgh drove to St. Loye’s Foundation, Brittany House, New North Road, Exeter, and were received by the Chairman (Mrs. Susan Hobbs) and Mr. Christopher Knee (Chief Executive Officer).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, escorted respectively by the Chairman and Chief Executive Officer, toured the building, meeting members of staff, and The Queen subsequently unveiled a plaque to commemorate the visit.
The Queen, Patron, Cadet150, and The Duke of Edinburgh afterwards visited Wyvern Barracks Parade Ground, Barrack Road, Exeter, and were received by the Chairman of Devon Joint Cadet Committee (Wing Commander Brian Wills-Pope).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness met members of Army Cadet Force, Air Training Corps and Sea Cadet Corps and viewed demonstrations and displays, and The Queen unveiled a plaque to launch Cadet150 in the County of Devon.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh were entertained to Luncheon at Dartington Hall, Totnes, this afternoon by the Dartington Hall Trust.
Her Majesty afterwards unveiled a plaque to mark the visit.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh later visited Wrigley Company Limited, Plymouth, and were received by the Managing Director of Wrigley Company United Kingdom and Ireland (Mr. Ian Burton) and the Lord Mayor of Plymouth (Councillor Ken Foster).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness toured the facilities, escorted respectively by the Managing Director and Mr. George Bojewski (Factory Director, Wrigley Company of United Kingdom and Ireland), viewing the manufacturing process in the quality laboratory and on the factory floor, and met members of staff.
The Queen unveiled a plaque to commemorate the visit.

The Prince of Wales, Colonel-in-Chief, The Queen’s Dragoon Guards, this morning received Lieutenant Colonel Alan Richmond upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer of 1st Battalion and Lieutenant Colonel Jaspar de Quincey-Adams upon assuming the appointment.
His Royal Highness, Patron, Combat Stress, this afternoon attended the launch of the Enemy Within Appeal at St. James’s Palace.
The Prince of Wales, Chairman, the Royal Collection Trust, this evening viewed the “Victoria & Albert: Art & Love” Exhibition at The Queen’s Gallery, Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, today carried out the following engagements in India.
His Royal Highness this morning attended a Meeting with members of the Confederation of British Industry at the Taj Mahal Hotel, New Delhi.
The Duke of York later visited the new terminal at IGI New Delhi Airport.
His Royal Highness this afternoon visited HSBC BPO Centre in Kolkata.
The Duke of York this evening attended a Meeting with inward investors at the Taj Bengal Hotel, Kolkata.
His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Reception with representatives from Business, Government, Academia and Civil Society at the Taj Bengal Hotel.
The Duke of York later attended a Dinner given by the British Deputy High Commissioner, Eastern India (His Excellency Mr. Sanjay Wadvani) at the Taj Bengal Hotel.

The Earl of Wessex this morning visited the Personal Service Society, 18 Seel Street, Liverpool, to mark its Ninetieth Anniversary and was received by Mrs. Jennifer Grundy (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside).
His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Birkenhead School, 58 Beresford Road, Oxton, Wirral, to mark its One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary.
The Earl of Wessex later visited Woodlands Hospice at University Hospital Aintree Campus, Longmoor Lane, Liverpool.
