His Royal Highness this morning visited Garden Reach Shipbuilders and Engineers.

The Duke of York later attended a Meeting with senior members of National Council of Confederation of Indian Industry at the Taj Bengal Hotel.

His Royal Highness subsequently attended a seminar entitled “The Low Carbon Economy” at the Taj Bengal Hotel.

The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Lunchtime Business Meeting at the Calcutta Club.

His Royal Highness later attended a Meeting to discuss social and economic issues affecting West Bengal at the Bengal Club.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited Paternoster School, Watermoor Road, Cirencester, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Gloucestershire (Sir Henry Elwes).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon officially opened Kempsford Literary Festival at Kempsford Primary School, High Street, Kempsford, Gloucestershire.

The Princess Royal, President, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, this morning visited Kingston Carers Centre, Kingston Carers Network, the Noble Centre, 109 Blagdon Road, New Malden, Surrey, and was received by Colonel Geoffrey Godbold (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon attended the Grand Military Meeting at Sandown Park Racecourse, Portsmouth Road, Esher, and was received by Brigadier Graeme Bartlett (Deputy Lieutenant of Surrey).

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, the Japan Society, this morning received Ms. Heidi Potter (Chief Executive).

Princess Alexandra, Patron, Queen Alexandra’s Royal Naval Nursing Service, was represented by Captain Helen Allkins at the Funeral of Captain Claire Taylor (formerly Director Naval Nursing Service and Matron-in-Chief) which was held in St. Faith’s Church, Lee-on-the-Solent, Hampshire, this morning.
