Windsor Castle

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Dinner Party at Windsor Castle this evening at which The Duke of York was present.

The following were invited: Her Excellency the Ambassador of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan and Mr. Ishaq Bouran, His Excellency the High Commissioner for Canada (Mr. James Wright) and Ms. Donna Thomson, the Archbishop of Liverpool, the Rt. Hon. Rhodri Morgan AM and Mrs. Morgan, the Lord and Lady Egremont, Sir Nicholas and Lady Grimshaw, Sir Martin and Lady Evans, Mrs. Basil Samuel, Mr. Alex Allan, and Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Holcroft.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Admiral of the Fleet, this morning took the salute at the Lord High Admiral’s Passing Out Parade at Britannia Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Mr. Eric Dancer).

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Foundation and Friends of the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, with Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Missned (Chairperson, Qatar Foundation for Education, Science and Community Development), this afternoon opened the Qur’anic Garden Exhibition at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew, Richmond, Surrey.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Patron, this morning visited the Assessment Centre, Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, 45 Bolsover Street, London W1.

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Trustees, Outward Bound Trust, this afternoon held a Chairman’s Lunch at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, later received Mr. Victor Chu (Chairman, First Eastern Group).

His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, afterwards received Mr. Justin Mundy (Director, The Prince’s Charities International Sustainability Unit) and Ms. Jessica Fries (Project Director).

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, today attended Receptions at St. James’s Palace for Young People who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent this morning visited Prudhoe Community Allotment, Redwell Road, Prudhoe, and was received by Captain Iain Moffat RNR (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Northumberland).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Nafferton Farm, Brancepeth, County Durham.

The Duke of Kent later visited IHC Engineering Business Limited, Broomhaugh House, Riding Mill, Northumberland.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Patron, People’s Dispensary for Sick Animals, this afternoon received Mr. Frederick Bircher at Buckingham Palace upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr. Michael Bolton upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Vice Patron, Royal Over-Seas League, later received Mr. Stanley Martin upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Sir Anthony Figgis upon assuming the appointment.
