On arrival, His Royal Highness was received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to The Italian Republic (His Excellency Mr. Edward Chaplin).
His Royal Highness afterwards held a Meeting with Ms. Josette Sheeran (Executive Director of the World Food Programme) and Mr J. Harvey (Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the United Nations Agencies for Food and Agriculture in Rome) at the World Food Programme Headquarters in Rome.
The Duke of York afterwards attended a Briefing and Lunch at the World Food Programme Headquarters in Rome.
His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner with British designers at the Park Hyatt Hotel, Milan.
Buckingham Palace
The Princess Royal, Patron, Opportunity International United Kingdom, this afternoon attended a Luncheon at the High Commission of the United Republic of Tanzania, 3 Stratford Place, London W1.
Her Royal Highness, Guardian, Give Them A Sporting Chance, subsequently attended a Management Team Meeting in London.
The Princess Royal, President, British Olympic Association, accompanied by Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, this evening held a Dinner at Buckingham Palace.
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Gloucester this evening attended a Dinner given by the British Friends of Yad Vashem in support of its Worldwide Educational Activities and the International School for Holocaust Studies at Guildhall, London EC2.
The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon opened Eatons Community Centre, The Maltings, Eaton Socon, St Neots, Cambridge, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire (Mr Hugh Duberly).
Her Royal Highness, Patron, later visited the Cystic Fibrosis Unit and afterwards opened the extension to the Critical Care Unit at Papworth Hospital, Papworth Everard, Cambridgeshire.
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Kent this morning officially opened Graham Court at Morden College, London SE3 and was received by Colonel Cyril Young (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).
