Buckingham Palace
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning attended a Service in Norwich Cathedral to celebrate the opening of the new Hostry and Refectory and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Norfolk (Mr Richard Jewson), the Bishop of Norwich (the Right Reverend Graham James), the Dean (the Very Reverend Graham Smith) and the Lord Mayor of Norwich (Councillor Eve Collishaw).
After the Service Her Majesty, escorted by the Dean, and His Royal Highness, escorted by the Reverend Canon Jeremy Haselock (Canon Precentor and Vice Dean), moved into the Cloisters and toured the new buildings before The Queen officially opened the Hostry Visitor and Education Centre and the Refectory.
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were entertained to Luncheon in the Deanery this afternoon by the Dean of Norwich Cathedral.
The Queen, Patron, and The Duke of Edinburgh afterwards visited the Norfolk and Norwich Association for the Blind, Magpie Road, Norwich, and were received by the Chairman of Trustees (Mrs Sue Knights) and Mr John Child (Director).
Her Majesty, with His Royal Highness, toured and officially opened the new extension, meeting residents, staff and volunteers.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, the Soil Association, this morning held a Meeting to discuss sustainable agriculture.
His Royal Highness afterwards held a Reception for Slow Food UK.
The Prince of Wales, Patron, this afternoon held a Reception at Clarence House for the College of Estate Management to mark its Ninetieth Anniversary.

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, today carried out the following engagements in Kuwait.
His Royal Highness this morning called upon The Crown Prince of the State of Kuwait at the City Seif Palace.
The Duke of York subsequently called upon the Prime Minister of the State of Kuwait at the City Seif Palace.
His Royal Highness today attended an Investment Meeting at Gatehouse Bank.
The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Lunch given by Gulf Consult.
His Royal Highness later attended Meetings with representatives of Amec and BT at the Bayan Palace.
The Duke of York afterwards received a briefing on Pearl City.
His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner given by Sheikh Ali Al Jarrah Al Sabah (Deputy Minister for the Amiri Diwan) at the Chairman’s Club.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Farms for City Children, this afternoon visited Treginnis Isaf to commemorate its Twentieth Anniversary at St Davids, Pembrokeshire, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed (the Hon Robin Lewis).
Her Royal Highness, Patron, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, this evening held a Reception at St. James’s Palace.

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Liverpool One, 5 Wall Street, Liverpool, and was received by Mrs Jennifer Grundy (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside).
His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Liverpool College, Queen’s Drive, Mossley Hill, Liverpool, to mark the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Combined Cadet Force.
The Duke of Gloucester later officially opened Huyton Churches Training Services, 599 Princess Drive, Huyton, Merseyside.
