Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today attended a Service of Thanksgiving at the Cenotaph, Whitehall, London SW1, to mark the Sixty Fifth Anniversary of Victory in Europe Day.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Reception at Horse Guards given by the Royal British Legion.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this morning departed Bahrain International Airport for Saudi Arabia and was received later on arrival at Riyadh King Khalid International Airport by Mr. R. Drummond (Chargé d’Affaires).

His Royal Highness today called upon Mohammed Al Hamadi (Vice Governor of the Saudi Arabia Monetary Authority in Riyadh.

The Duke of York this afternoon called upon Dr Abdullah Bin Abdul Aziz Al Rabeeah (Minister of Health) and remained to Lunch.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl and Countess of Wessex, Founders, today held a Lunch at Victoria Cup Day at Ascot Racecourse, Berkshire, in support of the Wessex Youth Trust.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Royal Colonel, 3rd Battalion The Rifles, today carried out the following engagements in Edinburgh.

Her Royal Highness this morning took the salute at a Homecoming Parade on the Royal Mile and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor George Grubb, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

Princess Alexandra afterwards attended a Reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for families of the Regiment.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon presented medals at a parade at Redford Infantry Barracks.
