Buckingham Palace

The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Rt Hon David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning opened the Thames Gateway Water Treatment Plant at Beckton Reach Sewage Treatment Works, Jenkins Lane, Barking, Essex, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, Army Cadet Force, this afternoon attended a Cadet 150 Reception at Guildhall, Gresham Street, London EC2.

Palace of Holyroodhouse

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay and The Duchess of Rothesay this morning attended the Annual Service of Commemoration at the Scottish National War Memorial, Edinburgh Castle, and laid a wreath.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited Leith School of Art, 25 North Junction Street, Edinburgh, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor George Grubb, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost).

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, President, Scottish Business in the Community, afterwards received Mr George Borthwick at the Palace of Holyroodhouse upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman.

His Royal Highness, President, later held the Scottish Business in the Community Annual Awards and Sustainable Scotland Summit at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay subsequently received the Rt Hon Alex Salmond MSP (First Minister of the Scottish Executive).

His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Trust Scotland, this evening held a Seminar and Reception at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

The Duchess of Rothesay this afternoon visited the Scottish Storytelling Centre, 43-45 High Street, Edinburgh.

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this afternoon received Mr. Richard Paniguian (Chief Executive of the Defence and Security Organisation).

His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, afterwards received Mrs. Rona Fairhead (Chief Executive of the Financial Times Group).

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, received the Lord Davies of Abersoch (formerly Minister of State, Department for Business, Innovation and Skills).

His Royal Highness, Chairman of the Trustees, Outward Bound Trust, this evening presented awards at the Charity Challenge Reception at St James’s Palace.

Buckingham Palace

The Countess of Wessex, President, today attended the Royal Bath and West of England Society Show at the Showground, Shepton Mallett, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Lady Gass).

Her Royal Highness this evening attended the Annual Reception and took the salute at Beating Retreat by the Band of the Brigade of Gurkhas at the Royal Bath and West of England Showground.

The Countess of Wessex, President, the Royal Bath and West of England Society, afterwards attended a Dinner at the Showground.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal this morning opened Beacon Centre for the Blind, Wolverhampton Road East, Wolverhampton, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Midlands (Mr. Paul Sabapathy).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, this afternoon visited Dudley Citizens Advice Bureau, Marlborough House, 11 St James Road, Dudley, to commemorate its Seventieth Anniversary.

The Princess Royal later visited RMD Kwikform Limited, Brickyard Road, Aldridge, West Midlands.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Army Medical Corps, this morning visited 22 Field Hospital, Thornhill Barracks, Gallwey Road, Aldershot, Hampshire.

His Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Army Medical Corps, this afternoon visited the Ministry of Defence Hospital Unit, Frimley Park Hospital, Portsmouth Road, Frimley, Surrey.

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon departed St Pancras International Railway Station, London, for France and was received on arrival at the Gare du Nord, Paris, by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the French Republic (His Excellency Sir Peter Westmacott).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Development Project of the new Junior School, British School of Paris, this evening attended a Dinner at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador.

Miss Lucinda Hanbury is in attendance.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent today received the Hon Michael Rann MP (Premier of South Australia).

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception for ABF the Soldiers’ Charity at Leighton Hall, Carnforth, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire (the Lord Shuttleworth).

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Vice Patron, this evening attended the Final Concert of the Royal Over-Seas League Annual Music Competition at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, Southbank Centre, Belvedere Road, London SE1.
