His Excellency Mr. Ernest Rwamucyo was received in audience by The Queen this morning and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for the Republic of Rwanda in London.
Mrs. Rwamucyo was also received by Her Majesty.
His Excellency Dr. Emil Brix was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from the Republic of Austria to the Court of St. James’s.
Mrs. Brix was also received by Her Majesty.
Mr. James Bevan (Director General of Corporate Affairs, Foreign and Commonwealth Office) was present.
The Queen received the Bishop of Portsmouth (the Right Reverend Christopher Foster) who did homage upon his appointment.
The Rt. Hon. Kenneth Clarke MP (Lord Chancellor) administered the Oath.
The Bishop of Guildford (Clerk of the Closet) was in attendance.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this evening attended a Reception given by the High Commissioner for Canada (His Excellency Mr. James Wright) at 3 Grosvenor Square, London W1.
The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Air Commodore, the Air Squadron, this morning received Air Chief Marshal Sir Michael Graydon upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr. Timothy Clark upon assuming the appointment.
His Royal Highness, Patron, the Air League, this evening held a Reception at St. James’s Palace.

The Prince of Wales this morning held a Reception for Duchy Originals’ Waitrose partners and suppliers.
The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts, and Patron, the Philharmonia Orchestra, and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening held the World Première of “the Highgrove Suite” and subsequently gave a Dinner.

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this morning departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Russia.
His Royal Highness this afternoon arrived at St. Petersburg Pulkovo Airport and was received by Her Majesty’s Consul-General for St. Petersburg (Mr. William Elliott).
The Duke of York this evening attended The Queen’s Birthday Party given by Her Majesty’s Consul-General at the Residence.
His Royal Highness subsequently attended a Dinner given by Her Majesty’s Consul-General at the Residence for representatives of the United Kingdom business community.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex today visited the Scott Polar Research Institute, Lensfield Road, Cambridge, and were received by Mrs. John Lewin Smith (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire).
Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon attended a Garden Party and this evening attended a Dinner given by the Rt. Hon. Owen Paterson MP (Secretary of State for Northern Ireland) at Hillsborough Castle and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of County Down (Mr. David Lindsay).
