Buckingham Palace
The Queen this morning attended a Meeting of Permanent Secretaries at the Cabinet Office, 22 Whitehall, London SW1, and was received by Sir Gus O’Donnell (Cabinet Secretary).
Mr Mark Francois MP (Vice Chamberlain of the Household) was received in audience by Her Majesty today and presented an Address from the House of Commons to which The Queen was graciously pleased to make reply.
Her Majesty, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Tank Regiment, received Lieutenant General David Leakey upon relinquishing his appointment as Colonel Commandant and Major General Christopher Deverell upon assuming the appointment.
Mr Malcolm Hazell was received by The Queen upon his appointment as an Extra Equerry to Her Majesty.
The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr Christopher Yvon (the Republic of Macedonia), Mr James Dauris (the Republic of Peru), Mr Matthew Lodge (the Republic of Finland) and Mr John Tucknott (the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal).
Miss Aneta Michalska, Mrs Dauris, Mrs Lodge and Mrs. Tucknott were also received by Her Majesty.
The Queen this afternoon visited Capel Manor College, Bullsmoor Lane, Enfield, Middlesex, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), the Duke of Devonshire (Patron), the Chairman of the Governors (Mr Malcolm Parkinson) and the Mayor of the London Borough of Enfield (Councillor Jayne Buckland).
Her Majesty toured the College, escorted by the Chief Executive (Mr Stephen Dowbiggin), meeting students and viewing practical displays.
The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited the Olympic Park, Stratford, London E15, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).
His Royal Highness, Colonel, Grenadier Guards, this evening presided over a Conference attended by the Colonels of the Regiments of the Household Division and subsequently entertained the Colonels to Dinner at Buckingham Palace.

The Prince of Wales, President, the National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty, this morning received Sir Simon Jenkins (Chairman) and Dame Fiona Reynolds (Director General).
The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon gave a Reception for Military personnel injured on overseas operations.
His Royal Highness later visited West Cumberland Hospital, Homewood, Hensingham, Whitehaven, met members of the emergency services and was received by Mr Graeme Smith (Deputy Lieutenant of Cumbria).
The Prince of Wales afterwards met community, faith and civic leaders at St. Nicholas’s Church, Lowther Street, Whitehaven.

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this morning received Mr. Brian Hartzer (Chief Executive, Retail Banking, Wealth Management, Royal Bank of Scotland).
His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, received Professor Richard Holdaway (Chairman, Space Advisory Council, UK Space Agency).
The Duke of York, Patron, Young Engineers, received Mr Kenneth Sanders (Chairman) and Mr James Buckley, Famida Noor Mahomed and Elizabeth Grafton (Members).
His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this afternoon attended a Lunch at the Royal United Services Institute for Defence and Security Studies, Whitehall, London SW1.
The Duke of York, Patron, English National Ballet, this evening attended a performance of Swan Lake at the Royal Albert Hall, London SW7.

The Princess Royal, Colonel, The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), this evening attended the Senior Colonels’ Conference and Dinner at Buckingham Palace.
St James’s Palace
The Duke of Kent, Colonel, Scots Guards, this evening attended the Senior Colonels’ Conference and Dinner at Buckingham Palace.
