Windsor Castle

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave a Luncheon Party for the Companions of the Most Noble Order of the Garter at which Prince William of Wales, The Duke of York, The Earl and Countess of Wessex, The Princess Royal and Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra, the Hon Lady Ogilvy were present.

A Service was held in St George’s Chapel this afternoon.

Detachments of Her Majesty’s Body Guard of the Honourable Corps of Gentlemen at Arms, The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard and the Military Knights of Windsor were on duty.

By command of The Queen, Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Yigit Alpogan at 43 Belgrave Square, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Republic of Turkey to the Court of St James’s.

St James’s Palace

Prince William of Wales this evening departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Botswana.

Prince Henry of Wales this afternoon arrived at Gaborone Airport and later attended The Queen’s Birthday Party given by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Botswana (Her Excellency Mrs Jennifer Anderson) at the Residence in Gaborone.

Mr James Lowther-Pinkerton, Mr Patrick Harverson and Mr Miguel Head are in attendance.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Anglian Regiment, this afternoon attended the homecoming parade at the King’s Parade, Cambridge, and this evening attended a Reception at the Guildhall, Cambridge.
