The Lord Wallace of Saltaire (Lord in Waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this morning upon the arrival of The President of the French Republic and Madame Sarkozy and welcomed His Excellency and Madame Sarkozy on behalf of The Queen.

The Prince of Wales this morning received The President of the French Republic and Madame Sarkozy and afterwards, to commemorate the Seventieth Anniversary of the formation of the French Resistance during World War Two, attended a wreath-laying ceremony at the memorial statues of the late King George VI and Queen Elizabeth The Queen Mother in the Mall, London SW1, and subsequently laid a wreath at the statue of General de Gaulle, Carlton Gardens, London SW1.
St James’s Palace
Prince William of Wales and Prince Henry of Wales this morning departed Lesotho for South Africa.
Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital in Cape Town.
Prince William of Wales, President, the Football Association, and Prince Henry of Wales this evening attended a Reception given by the Fédération Internationale de Football Association, and afterwards attended the football match between England and Algeria at Green Point Stadium, Cape Town.
Buckingham Palace
The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, today presented New Colours to The Yorkshire Regiment (14th/15th, 19th and 33rd/76th Foot) at Imphal Barracks, York, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of North Yorkshire (the Lord Crathorne).
Buckingham Palace
The Earl and Countess of Wessex this afternoon departed Farnborough Airport, Hampshire, for Sweden and were received on arrival at Bromma Airport, Stockholm, by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Sweden (His Excellency Mr Andrew Mitchell).
Their Royal Highnesses, representing The Queen, this evening attended a Dinner in Eric Ericsonhallen, Skeppsholmen, and a Gala Concert in the Stockholm Concert Hall given by the Government of Sweden on the occasion of the Wedding of The Crown Princess of Sweden and Mr Daniel Westling.

The Princess Royal today attended the Headquarters Allied Rapid Reaction Corps Farewell Parade in Mönchengladbach, Germany.
Mrs Brian Hammond was in attendance.
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Gloucester today attended the East of England Show at the East of England Showground, Peterborough, and was received by the Lord de Ramsey (Deputy Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire).
Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park
Princess Alexandra this afternoon visited the exhibition, “Sir Hardy Amies and the House of Windsor” at the Hardy Amies Museum and Archive, 14 Savile Row, London W1.
Her Royal Highness, Honorary Patron, American Associates of the Royal Academy Trust, this evening gave a Reception at St James’s Palace.
