COURT CIRCULAR

Rideau Hall, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon attended the Canada Day Celebrations at Parliament Hill, Ottawa, Ontario, Canada, and were received by the Rt Hon Stephen Harper MP (Prime Minister of Canada) and the Hon James Moore MP (Minister of Canadian Heritage).

Her Majesty and His Royal Highness were received with a Gun Salute and witnessed a flypast of Canadian Forces aircraft.

The Queen inspected the Guard of Honour and subsequently addressed those present.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Charcroft Electronics Limited, Dol-y-Coed, Llanwrtyd Wells, and were received by Lieutenant Colonel Timothy Van-Rees (Deputy Lieutenant of Powys).

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards opened the Heart of Wales Brewery, Stables Yard, Zion Street, Llanwrtyd Wells.

The Prince of Wales, President, Cambrian Mountain Initiative, and The Duchess of Cornwall later met tourism ambassadors at the Carlton Riverside Restaurant, Irfon Crescent, Llanwrtyd Wells.

Their Royal Highnesses subsequently visited Cammarch Valley Butchers, Irfon Crescent, Llanwrtyd Wells.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited local community groups at a 1930s Festival at Victoria Hall, Victoria Square, Llanwrtyd Wells.

Their Royal Highnesses later visited Jen Jones Quilt Centre, the Old Town Hall, High Street, Lampeter, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dyfed (the Hon Robin Lewis).

The Prince of Wales, Chancellor, University of Wales, afterwards visited the University of Wales Trinity Saint David, Lampeter.

Their Royal Highnesses this evening gave a Dinner for Arts and Culture.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning attended a Trustees’ Meeting at Gulliver House, Madeira Walk, Windsor, Berkshire.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Wessex Heartbeat, this afternoon held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

Her Royal Highness, Chairman, Women in Business (promoting The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award), later attended a Reception at Selfridges and Company, 400 Oxford Street, London W1.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, this morning held a Charities’ Forum at Buckingham Palace.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, held an Afternoon Party in the garden of Buckingham Palace by gracious permission of The Queen to mark Her Royal Highness’s Sixtieth Birthday.

The Queen’s Body Guard of the Yeomen of the Guard was on duty.

The Bands of The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons) and the Royal Corps of Signals played selections of music during the afternoon.

The Princess Royal, President, British Olympic Association, this evening held a Dinner at Buckingham Palace.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited the Scottish Police College, Tulliallan Castle, Kincardine, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Fife (Mrs Brian Dean).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited ScotAsh Limited, Longannet Power Station, Kincardine-on-Forth, Fife.

The Duke of Gloucester, Grand Prior, the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St John of Jerusalem, afterwards officially opened the Ochils Mountain Rescue Post, Bank Head Farm, Fishcross, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Clackmannanshire (Mrs Sheena Cruickshank).

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, President, All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club, today attended the Wimbledon Championships, Church Road, Wimbledon, London SW19.
