The Duke of Edinburgh, Chancellor, the University of Edinburgh, this morning received Mr Gordon Martin at the Palace of Holyroodhouse upon relinquishing his appointment as Head of Protocol.

His Royal Highness, Patron, today held Receptions at the Palace of Holyroodhouse for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award.

His Royal Highness, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this afternoon attended a Lunch for supporters at the Holyrood Macdonald Hotel, 81 Holyrood Road, Edinburgh.

The Prince of Wales, President, this morning attended the Food and Farming Summer School Final Session at the Royal Agricultural College, Cirencester, Gloucestershire.

His Royal Highness, President, the National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty, this afternoon visited Quarry Bank Mill, Styal, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cheshire (Mr David Briggs).

The Prince of Wales later attended a rehearsal by the BBC Philharmonic at BBC Broadcasting House, Oxford Road, Manchester, on the conclusion of their Seventy Fifth Anniversary Season.

The Duke of York, Past Captain, this afternoon attended the Open Championship at the Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews, Fife.

The Earl of Wessex, Patron, this morning visited Hall for Cornwall, Back Quay, Truro, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Cornwall (the Lady Mary Holborow).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited South West Lakes Trust, Stithians Lake, Menherion, Cornwall.

The Earl of Wessex later opened the new Bosence Farm Community Limited, Bosence, Townshend, Cornwall.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Youth Support Services, this morning attended a Transition to Adulthood Conference at Worcester Rugby Football Club, Sixways Stadium, Pershore Lane, Hindlip, Worcester, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Worcestershire (Mr Michael Brinton).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Wooden Spoon Society, this afternoon opened a play area at Regency High School, Carnforth Drive, Worcester.

The Princess Royal afterwards visited NetsWork Limited, the Dog House, Lark Hill Road, Worcester.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, today attended a Service of Dedication for the Adjutant General’s Corps Memorial at the National Arboretum, Alrewas, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Sir James Hawley) and subsequently attended a Reception.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon unveiled the foundation stone for a Recreational and Activity Development Training Centre for Young People at Whitemore Lakes Centre, Alrewas.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Colonel, Scots Guards, today visited the 1st Battalion in Lashkah Gah, Afghanistan.
