Balmoral Castle

The Queen arrived at Balmoral Castle today, was received by Mr. James Ingleby (Deputy Lieutenant Aberdeenshire) and then inspected the Royal Guard found by B Company The Royal Scots Borderers, 1st Battalion The Royal Regiment of Scotland.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Chancellor, the University of Edinburgh, this afternoon visited the Centre for Sports and Exercise at 46 Pleasance, Edinburgh.

His Royal Highness, Honorary Fellow, afterwards presented the Royal Medals at the Royal Society of Edinburgh, 22-26 George Street, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor George Grubb, the Rt Hon the Lord Provost).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Chancellor, the University of Edinburgh, this evening held a dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
