The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, this evening attended the Gordon Bennett Gas Balloon Race 2010 Gala Dinner and Awards Ceremony at the Council House, Bristol, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the County and City of Bristol (Mrs John Prior).

The Prince of Wales this morning departed Royal Air Force Lyneham for India and was received upon arrival at Palam Technical Airport, New Delhi, this afternoon by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of India (His Excellency Sir Richard Stagg).

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Trade and Investment Promotion Reception at the British High Commission in New Delhi and subsequently attended a celebration to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of the Indian Institute of Technology.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall were received later by The President of the Republic of India at Rashtrapati Bhavan, New Delhi.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon arrived at Palam Technical Airport, New Delhi.

Mr Clive Alderton, Mrs Amanda MacManus, Mr Patrick Harrison, Miss Eva Omaghomi and Major William Mackinlay are in attendance.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Vice Patron, the Commonwealth Games Federation, this morning departed Royal Air Force Lyneham for India and was received upon arrival at Palam Technical Airport, New Delhi, this afternoon by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of India (His Excellency Sir Richard Stagg).

His Royal Highness, Vice Patron, later attended the Closing Sessions of the Commonwealth Games Federation Conference in Delhi.

The Duke of Gloucester this morning attended a British Council presentation on “International Inspirations” by Nigerian Schools at the British High Commission, Abuja, Nigeria.

His Royal Highness afterwards met staff at the British High Commission.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon received the Foreign Minister of Nigeria (His Excellency H Odein Ajumogobia) at the Residence, British High Commission, Abuja.
