The Emir of the State of Qatar and Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Missned this morning visited Westminster Abbey and attended an Inter-Faith Discussion.
Their Highnesses afterwards visited The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall at Clarence House.
The Emir of the State of Qatar and Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser Al-Missned this afternoon visited the Olympic Park, Stratford, London E15.
The Rt. Hon. Nicholas Clegg MP (Leader of the Liberal Democrats) later called upon The Emir of the State of Qatar at Buckingham Palace.
The Emir of the State of Qatar afterwards attended a Meeting held by The Duke of York at Buckingham Palace with Leaders of British Industry, and subsequently, with His Royal Highness, witnessed the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding on Business, Trade and Technical Co-operation between the State of Qatar and the United Kingdom.
The Emir of the State of Qatar and Sheikha Mozah Bint Nasser this evening received an Address of Welcome and were entertained at a Banquet by the Rt. Hon. the Lord Mayor and the City of London Corporation at Guildhall.
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester were present.
Air Chief Marshal Sir Jock Stirrup was received by The Queen today upon relinquishing his appointment as Chief of the Defence Staff.
The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, The King’s Own Calgary Regiment, this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel Richard Coates upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Neil MacLaine upon assuming the appointment.
The Hon. Daniel Hays (Honorary Colonel), Mr. Douglas Mitchell (Honorary Lieutenant Colonel) and Master Warrant Officer Martin Woods (Regimental Sergeant-Major) were also received by Her Majesty.
The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr. Andrew Soper (Republic of Latvia), Mr. Martin Roper (People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria) and Mr. Nicholas Griffiths (Republic of Mali).
Mrs. Soper and Mrs. Roper were also received by Her Majesty.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon gave a Reception at Windsor Castle for Her Majesty’s College of Chaplains.
The Countess of Wessex was present.
The Duke of Edinburgh this morning officially opened Lakeside Energy From Waste Limited’s new Facility and Education Centre at Colnbrook, Berkshire.
By command of The Queen, Mr. Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Antonio Santana Carlos at 11 Belgrave Square, London SW1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Portuguese Republic to the Court of St. James’s.

His Royal Highness afterwards held a Meeting on the Pakistan Floods.
The Prince of Wales this evening attended a Concert and Reception at St. James’s Palace to mark the Three Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Royal Society.
The Duchess of Cornwall this morning opened the new cattery at Battersea Dogs and Cats home to mark the charity’s One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary, 4 Battersea Park Road, London, SW8, and was received by Sir Michael Craig-Cooper (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London).
Her Royal Highness, Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Naval Chaplaincy Services, this afternoon received the Venerable John Green upon relinquishing his appointment as Chaplain of the Fleet and the Reverend Scott Brown upon assuming the appointment.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Opportunity International UK, this afternoon held a Luncheon at St. James’s Palace.
