Buckingham Palace

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning departed Oman for the United Kingdom at the conclusion of the State Visit.

The Sultan of Oman was present at Muscat International Airport and bade farewell to Her Majesty and His Royal Highness.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh, attended by the Rt Hon William Hague MP (Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs), the Hon Mrs Whitehead, Mrs Michael Gordon Lennox, the Rt Hon Christopher Geidt, Mr Doug King, Mrs Mark Anderson, Surgeon Captain David Hett RN, Group Captain Timothy Hewlett, Lieutenant Colonel Charles Richards and Brigadier Sir Miles Hunt-Davis. arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, this afternoon and were received at the Airport by the Earl Peel (Lord Chamberlain).

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, this evening departed Heathrow Airport, London, for Seychelles and Mauritius.
