COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen visited St. Mary and St. Pancras Church of England Primary School, 81 Werrington Street, London NW1, this morning and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), the Head Teacher (Mrs. Alice Aharon) and the Mayor of the London Borough of Camden (Councillor Jonathan Simpson).

Her Majesty, escorted by Mrs. Sheila McCalla-Gordon (Executive Head), met members of staff before visiting classrooms, viewing lessons in progress and meeting the schoolchildren.

The Queen subsequently viewed a performance of music and dance by the children.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, this afternoon held a Meeting at Clarence House.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards received the judges of the Sun Military Awards.

Their Royal Highnesses this evening attended the Royal Variety Performance at the London Palladium, Argyll Street, London W1.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, this afternoon received children from Helen and Douglas House and from the London Taxis Fund for Underprivileged Children and helped them to decorate the Christmas Tree at Clarence House.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this morning visited Harris Corporation, 1010 Eskdale Road, Winnersh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon. Mrs. Bayliss).

His Royal Highness, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, this afternoon received Mr. Rory Tapner (Chief Executive for Wealth Management, Royal Bank of Scotland).

The Duke of York, Special Representative for International Trade and Investment, later received Mr. Richard Lambert (Director General, Confederation of British Industry).

His Royal Highness, Honorary Patron, this evening gave a Reception at St. James’s Palace for the British-Kazakh Society.

The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, 9th/12th Royal Lancers (Prince of Wales’s), afterwards attended the Annual Officers’ Dinner at the Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, London W1.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this afternoon held a Lunch at Buckingham Palace for new supporters.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, later chaired an Alliance Steering Committee Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

The Earl of Wessex, Royal Colonel, 2nd Battalion The Rifles, this evening attended a Reception for 1st City Troop Philadelphia, at the Honourable Artillery Company, Armoury House, City Road, London EC1.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, afterwards attended a Christmas Concert performed by the London Chamber Orchestra at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London SW3.

The Countess of Wessex, Royal Colonel, this morning visited 5th Battalion The Rifles at Alanbrooke Barracks, Paderborn, and took the salute at the Cadre Course Passing-off Parade.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon arrived at Farnborough Airport, Hampshire, from Germany.

Mrs. Rosemary Hamer was in attendance.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, President, British Olympic Association, this morning visited Lee Valley White Water Centre, Station Road, Waltham Cross, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Hertfordshire (the Countess of Verulam).

Her Royal Highness today attended the City and Guilds of London Institute Executive Committee Meeting at 1 Giltspur Street, London EC1.

The Princess Royal, Commandant-in-Chief (Youth), St. John Ambulance, this afternoon held a Young Achievers’ Reception at Buckingham Palace.

Her Royal Highness, President, Save the Children UK, accompanied by Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, this evening attended the Festival of Trees at the Natural History Museum, Cromwell Road, London SW7.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, St. George’s Society of New York, today visited Lehman College, 250 Bedford Park West Boulevard, New York, United States of America, and gave a lecture entitled “the Commonwealth as an Expression of Global Community, Not Empire”.

His Royal Highness, Patron, St. George’s Society of New York, this evening presented the Society’s new Commonwealth Medal at a Reception at 767 Third Avenue, New York.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards attended a Dinner given by Her Majesty’s Consul-General for New York (Sir Alan Collins) at 351 East 51st Street, New York.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Patron, this evening attended the New Bridge Foundation Celebration of Christmas at the Parish Church of St. George, Hanover Square, London W1.
