COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The following were received in audience by The Queen and kissed hands upon their appointment as Her Majesty’s Ambassadors: Mr Jonathan Brenton (the Kingdom of Belgium), Mr Nicholas Kay (the Republic of the Sudan) and Mr Michael Holloway (the Republic of Panama).

Mrs Brenton, Mrs Kay and Mr Mauricio Barboza Rodrigues were also received by Her Majesty.

Mr Paul Brummell was received in audience by The Queen upon his appointment as British High Commissioner to Barbados.

By command of The Queen, Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Shin Ebihara at 101 Piccadilly, London W1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from Japan to the Court of St James’s.

By command of Her Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon His Excellency U Hay Win at 19A Charles Street, London W1, in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Union of Myanmar to the Court of St James’s.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, this morning received Miss Joan Walley MP (Stoke-on-Trent North).

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the British Equestrian Federation, this evening attended the London International Horse Show at Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London W14.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal this morning received the Rt Hon Andrew Mitchell MP (Secretary of State for International Development).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, having been received by Brigadier Paul Orchard-Lisle (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London), this evening attended the presentation of the “Story of Christmas” at St George’s Church, Hanover Square, London W1, followed by a Reception at Christie’s, 8 King Street, London SW1.
