Prince William of Wales this morning departed New Zealand for Australia and was received later upon arrival at the Royal Australian Air Force Base, Townsville, Queensland, by the Premier of Queensland (the Hon. Anne Bligh MP).

His Royal Highness this afternoon met volunteers, emergency services representatives and residents at Cardwell Community Hall.

Prince William of Wales later met volunteers and emergency services representatives at Tully Showgrounds.

His Royal Highness afterwards met representatives from the Royal Flying Doctor Service at Cairns International Airport.

Prince William of Wales this evening met volunteers and community members affected by Cyclone Yasi, at Cairns Cruise Liner Terminal.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and The Countess of Wessex today took part in the Royal Regatta at Barbados Yacht Club.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, and Her Royal Highness this evening attended a Gala Dinner at Sandy Lane Golf Club in Barbados.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, Scottish Rugby Union, accompanied by Vice Admiral Timothy Laurence, this afternoon attended the International Rugby Match between Scotland and Italy at Murrayfield Stadium, Edinburgh, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh (Councillor George Grubb, the Rt. Hon. the Lord Provost).
