Windsor Castle

His Excellency the Hon. Michael Ogio was received in audience by The Queen today upon his appointment as Governor-General of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea when Her Majesty conferred upon him the honour of Knighthood and invested him with the Insignia of a Knight Grand Cross of the Most Distinguished Order of St. Michael and St. George.

The Prime Minister of New Zealand (the Hon. John Key MP) was received by The Queen.

The Prime Minister of New Zealand and Mrs. Key remained to Luncheon with Her Majesty.

The Earl of Wessex was present.

St James’s Palace

Prince Henry of Wales, Patron, Walking with the Wounded Expedition, this afternoon attended a Reception at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts, 195 Piccadilly, London W1.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Patron, Action for Blind People, this afternoon received Mr. Michael Dudgeon at Buckingham Palace upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Dr. Michael Nussbaum upon assuming the appointment.

Appendix to Court Circular

The Duke of Kent has been pleased to appoint Mr. Nicholas Marden as Private Secretary to His Royal Highness upon the retirement of Mr. Nicolas Adamson.

Mr. Nicolas Adamson to be an Extra Equerry to The Duke of Kent.

The appointments to date from 30th April, 2011.
