The Duke of York today carried out the following engagements in Beijing, China.

His Royal Highness this morning attended a Meeting with the Chairman of the National Social Security Fund at the offices of the National Security Fund.

The Duke of York afterwards called upon the Vice Minister of Commerce at the Ministry.

His Royal Highness this afternoon attended a Meeting with the Chairman of Sinopec Group and remained to Lunch.

The Duke of York later witnessed the signing of an Earth Observation Memorandum of Understanding between the United Kingdom and China and a Memorandum of Understanding between ASI Solutions plc and China Highway Engineering Consulting Group at the Residence of Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China.

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Meeting with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs at the Ministry.

The Duke of York subsequently attended a Meeting with the Vice Chairman of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission at the offices of the Commission.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner given by the Chinese People’s Institute of Foreign Affairs at the offices of the Institute.

The Duke of York subsequently attended a Meeting with representatives of British companies at the Residence.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning attended a Service to mark the Three Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of the Coronation of King Charles II in All Saints Church, Pytchley, Kettering, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Northamptonshire (the Lady Juliet Townsend).

His Royal Highness this afternoon unveiled a plaque at William Aylworth Endowed Church of England School, High Street, Pytchley, Kettering, to mark its Three Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards unveiled a plaque to mark the Four Hundredth Anniversary of Parson Latham’s Hospital, 24 North Street, Oundle, Peterborough.

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Patron, BEN — Motor and Allied Trades Benevolent Fund, this afternoon visited Town Thorns Nursing and Residential Centre, Easenhall, Rugby, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Warwickshire (Mr Martin Dunne).
