Buckingham Palace
His Excellency Mr Vu Quang Minh was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Vietnam to the Court of St James’s.
Mr Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary, Foreign and Commonwealth Office) was present.
Sir Christopher Mallaby was received by Her Majesty and delivered up his Gold Badge and Chain upon relinquishing his appointment as Chancellor of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George.
The Lord Robertson of Port Ellen was received by The Queen when Her Majesty handed to him the Gold Badge and Chain upon his appointment as Chancellor of the Most Distinguished Order of Saint Michael and Saint George.
The Queen held a Council at 5.30pm.

His Royal Highness, Patron, later attended a Service to mark the Fortieth Anniversary of the War Widows Association of Great Britain in the Guards Chapel, Wellington Barracks, Birdcage Walk, London SW1, followed by a Reception at the Guards Museum.
The Prince of Wales, Founder and President, The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment, this afternoon held a Meeting.
His Royal Highness, President, The Prince’s Foundation for Children and the Arts, this evening attended a performance of Shrek — The Musical, at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, Catherine Street, London WC2.
The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon received Mr and Mrs Peter Cruddas (Trustees, the Peter Cruddas Foundation).
Her Royal Highness, President, National Osteoporosis Society, afterwards presented The Duchess of Cornwall Award at Clarence House and subsequently held a Reception to mark the Twenty Fifth Anniversary of the Society.

The Earl of Wessex this evening was invested as Honorary Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Fuellers and, accompanied by The Countess of Wessex, subsequently attended the June Court Dinner onboard HQS Wellington, Victoria Embankment, London WC2.
The Countess of Wessex, President, Brainwave, this morning visited Brainwave’s South East Therapy Centre, 16 Newland Street, Witham, to mark its Fourth Anniversary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Essex (the Lord Petre).
Her Royal Highness afterwards attended a Citizenship Ceremony at Braintree Town Hall, Market Place, Braintree, Essex.

The Princess Royal this morning attended Discussion sessions as part of the Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leaders’ Dialogue at Hilton Barbados Hotel, Needham’s Point St Michael, Bridgetown, Barbados.
Her Royal Highness later called upon the Governor-General of Barbados (Sir Clifford Straughn Husbands) at Government House, St Michael.
The Princess Royal subsequently attended a Luncheon for Members of the Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leaders’ Dialogue given by the British High Commissioner to Barbados (His Excellency Paul Brummell) at the Residence in Bridgetown.

Her Royal Highness later attended a Reception for Members of the Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leaders’ Dialogue given by the Prime Minister of Barbados at the Prime Minister’s Residence.
The Princess Royal subsequently attended a Dinner for Chairmen of the Caribbean-Canada Emerging Leaders’ Dialogue at Fisherpond Great House, St Thomas.

The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon received Mr Peter Berry upon relinquishing his appointment as President of the Crown Agents Foundation.
His Royal Highness assumes the appointment.
