The Queen, with The Duke of Edinburgh, honoured Ascot Races with her presence today.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York, Colonel-in-Chief, this afternoon attended the Medals Parade of The Royal Irish Regiment (27th (Inniskilling), 83rd, 87th and The Ulster Defence Regiment) at Tern Hill Barracks, Market Drayton, Shropshire, and remained to Luncheon with the Regiment’s Officers’ Dining Club.

His Royal Highness later gave a Tea for representatives from the Royal United Services Institute International.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, Deputy Colonel-in-Chief, Adjutant General’s Corps, this afternoon attended a celebration to mark the Five Hundredth Anniversary of the Provost Marshal at Headquarters, Royal Military Police, Southwick Park, near Fareham, Hampshire.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Patron, this evening attended a Concert by Opera North at the Town Hall, the Headrow, Leeds.
