The Queen held an Investiture at the Palace of Holyroodhouse this morning.
The Lord Wilson of Tillyorn KT (Lord High Commissioner to the General Assembly of the Church of Scotland) was received by Her Majesty this afternoon and reported on the recent proceedings of the General Assembly.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh gave an Afternoon Party in the garden of the Palace of Holyroodhouse.
The Earl of Wessex was present.
The Queen’s Body Guard for Scotland, Royal Company of Archers, and the High Constables of the Palace of Holyroodhouse were on duty.
The Band of The Royal Regiment of Scotland, the Salamanca Band of the Rifles and The Royal Scottish Pipers’ Society played selections of music during the afternoon The Duke of Edinburgh, President of the Patrons, National Galleries of Scotland, this morning viewed exhibitions entitled The Queen: Art and Image and Elizabeth Blackadder at the Royal Scottish Academy, the Mound, Edinburgh.
His Royal Highness, Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this afternoon attended a Luncheon at Macdonald Holyrood Hotel, 81 Holyrood Road, Edinburgh.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s School for Traditional Arts, this morning received Dr Khaled Azzam (Director) and Dr Farhad Farjam (Member, Patrons’ Council).
His Royal Highness, Founder and President, The Prince’s Foundation for the Built Environment, and President, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, this afternoon gave a Reception at Clarence House for the Developers Network.
The Prince of Wales afterwards received the Marquess of Salisbury (Chairman, the Thames Diamond Jubilee Foundation).

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were welcomed this morning by the Premier of Northwest Territories (the Hon Floyd Roland MP) at Somba K’e Civic Plaza, Yellowknife, Northwest Territories, Canada.
Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon attended a Youth Parliament session at the Legislative Assembly, Yellowknife.
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge later visited the Canadian Rangers at Blachford Lake.
Their Royal Highnesses afterwards met students studying the Dechinta Programme at Blachford Lake Lodge.
