Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, Prime, this morning received Mr Richard Martin (Chairman) and subsequently held a Meeting for Prime.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the School of Environmental Sciences, the University of East Anglia, afterwards received Professor Robert Watson (Professor of Environmental Sciences, Director of Strategic Development).

The Prince of Wales, Colonel, Welsh Guards, this afternoon received Lieutenant Colonel Charles Antelme upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Dino Bossi upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness, President, later held a Reception at Clarence House to mark the Thirty Fifth Anniversary of The Prince’s Trust.

The Prince of Wales afterwards received Herr Theo Müller (Chairman, Unternehmensgruppe Theo Müller GmbH and Company).

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Reception at the Royal Albert Hall, London SW7, in aid of the Sunflower Jam Concert, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

St James’s Palace

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this morning attended the official opening of the Calgary Stampede in Canada.

Their Royal Highnesses later attended a Reception given by the Premier of Alberta (the Hon E. Stelmach MP) at the Enmax Conservatory, Calgary Zoo.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge this afternoon laid a wreath at Challenger Rotary Park, Calgary.

Their Royal Highnesses afterwards departed Calgary International Airport for the United States of America.

The Governor General (the Rt Hon David Johnston) and the Rt Hon Stephen Harper MP (Prime Minister) were present and bade farewell to The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge on the conclusion of Their Royal Highnesses’ visit to Canada.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge later arrived at Los Angeles International Airport, California, and were received by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the United States of America (His Excellency Sir Nigel Sheinwald) and the Governor of California (Mr J. Brown).

Their Royal Highnesses this evening attended a Reception in support of United Kingdom Trade and Investment at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, Beverly Hills.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge afterwards attended a Reception given by Her Majesty’s Consul-General for Los Angeles (Dame Barbara Hay) in Hancock Park, Los Angeles.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Member, today attended the International Olympic Committee Session in Durban, South Africa.

Her Royal Highness this afternoon held an Investiture in Durban Town Hall.

The Princess Royal later departed Durban for the United Kingdom.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Denstone Hall farm shop and café and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Sir James Hawley).

His Royal Highness afterwards presented The Queen’s Award for Innovation to the Backhoe Loader Division Unit at JCB World Headquarters, Rocester, Staffordshire.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Royal Air Force 501 (County of Gloucester) Squadron Association, this afternoon attended a Service of Dedication for Canadian aircrew who fought in World War Two, and subsequently took the salute at the Parade at the National Memorial Arboretum, Alrewas, having been received by Colonel Michael Beatty (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire).

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, Bobath Scotland, this afternoon officially opened the Children’s Therapy Centre at Bradbury House, 10 High Craighill Road, Glasgow, and was received by Mrs Christine Devine (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Glasgow).

Her Royal Highness, Honorary President, the Lawn Tennis Association, later attended the Davis Cup Tie Matches between Great Britain and Luxembourg at Braehead Arena, King’s Inch Road, Glasgow, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Renfrewshire (Mr Guy Clark).
