By command of The Queen, Mr. Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr James Wright at 3 Grosvenor Square, London W1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for Canada in London.
By command of Her Majesty, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps afterwards received Her Excellency Mrs Jean Kekedo at St James’s Palace upon relinquishing her appointment as High Commissioner for Papua New Guinea in London.
By command of The Queen, the Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps called upon His Excellency Mr Nalin Surie at India House, Aldwych, London WC2, later in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as High Commissioner for India in London.

The Prince of Wales, President, this evening attended a Dinner for The Prince’s Trust and the British Asian Trust at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane, London W1.

The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today visited Cornwall and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (the Lady Mary Holborow).
Her Royal Highness, President, the Mission to Seafarers, this morning visited Fowey Mission Branch to mark its Twentieth Anniversary, the Docks, Fowey Harbour.
The Princess Royal later visited A. and P. Falmouth Limited, the Docks, Falmouth, to mark the One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary of Falmouth Docks.
Her Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Exhibition entitled, “Lighthouses: Life on the Rocks”, at the National Maritime Museum Cornwall, Discovery Quay, Falmouth.
The Princess Royal afterwards opened the new Mylor Yacht Club, Mylor Churchtown, Falmouth.
Her Royal Highness later visited Cockwells Modern and Classic Boatbuilding Limited, Mylor Creek Boatyard, Mylor Bridge, Falmouth.

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Habitat for Humanity Great Britain, this afternoon attended an IndiaBuilds Briefing at the Orangery, Kensington Palace.
His Royal Highness this evening unveiled a Memorial to mark the Bicentenary of the Birth of William Makepeace Thackeray at Charterhouse, Sutton’s Hospital, Charterhouse Square, London EC1.
