The Princess Royal, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, today visited the Isle of Wight and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (Major General Martin White).

Her Royal Highness, President, Royal Yachting Association, this morning attended the OnBoard Festival Sailing at Shrape Breakwater, Cowes.

The Princess Royal this afternoon opened the new Royal National Lifeboat Institution Lifeboat Station at Bembridge and launched the Albert William Brown Lifeboat at Lane End Road, Bembridge.

Her Royal Highness, Save the Children UK, later visited a Shop at 1 St Thomas Square, Ryde.

The Princess Royal, Patron, United Kingdom Sailing Academy, subsequently visited projects at Cowes Week 2011, and opened the renovated 52 Degrees North Building, Arctic Road, Cowes.

Her Royal Highness, Guardian, Give Them a Sporting Chance, this afternoon visited the Pacific 2012 Rowing Boat at Shepards Wharf, Medina Road, Cowes.

The Princess Royal, Master, the Corporation of Trinity House, this evening attended a Reception and Dinner on board Trinity House Vessel Galatea, Cowes.
