The Princess Royal later visited Thorntons Plc to mark its Centenary, Thornton Park, Somercotes, Alfreton, Derbyshire.

Her Royal Highness afterwards visited David Nieper Limited, Nottingham Road, Alfreton, to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of the company.
