The Queen this morning visited Crathie Primary School, Crathie, Ballater, Aberdeenshire, and was received by the Headmistress (Mrs. Lilian Field).
Her Majesty, escorted by the Headmistress, toured the School, viewing classroom activities and the wildlife and vegetable gardens, and met pupils and members of staff.

The Prince Charles, Duke of Rothesay, Patron, this morning held a Meeting for the National Trust for Scotland.
His Royal Highness, Patron, John Muir Trust, later held a Meeting for John Muir Trust, Association of Deer Management Groups and the Scottish Gamekeepers Association.

The Duke of York this afternoon arrived at Singapore Changi Airport and was received by the British High Commissioner to the Republic of Singapore (His Excellency Mr. Antony Phillipson).

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Childline, today attended the National Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Children Annual Council Meeting at Birmingham City Football Club, St. Andrew’s Stadium, Birmingham, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Midlands (Mr. Paul Sabapathy).

The Princess Royal, Visitor, St. Mary’s Cathedral Workshop, this morning visited the Workshop at Palmerston Place and was received by Mrs. Veronica Crerar (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh).
Her Royal Highness, Royal Colonel, The Royal Scots Borderers, 1st Batallion The Royal Regiment of Scotland, later visited 1 Scots Memorial at Dreghorn Barracks, Redford Road, Edinburgh.
The Princess Royal, Chancellor, the University of Edinburgh, this afternoon opened the Royal (Dick) School of Veterinary Studies Teaching Building at Easter Bush Veterinary Centre, Bush Farm, Roslin, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Midlothian (Mr. Patrick Prenter).
Her Royal Highness, President, the Mission to Seafarers, this evening attended a Reception at Lambeth Palace, London SE1.
The Princess Royal, Patron, Opportunity International United Kingdom, later attended a Dinner at the Savoy Hotel, Strand, London WC2.
Kensington Palace
The Duke of Gloucester this afternoon visited Tameside College, Beaufort Road, Ashton-under-Lyne, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr. Warren Smith).
His Royal Highness afterwards opened Tameside Centre for Enterprise, Old Street, Ashton-under-Lyne.
The Duke of Gloucester subsequently opened the new building at Tameside General Hospital, Fountain Street, Ashton-under-Lyne.
The Duchess of Gloucester this morning visited Goldsmiths’ Fair at Goldsmiths’ Hall, Foster Lane, London EC2.
