Balmoral Castle

The Duke of Edinburgh this morning attended a Service of Thanksgiving to mark One Hundred and Fifty Years of the Zoroastrian Community in Britain followed by a Luncheon at the Zoroastrian Centre, 440 Alexandra Avenue, Harrow, Middlesex, and was received by Mr. John Purnell (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

His Royal Highness, Companion Rat, the Grand Order of Water Rats, this evening attended the House Dinner at 328 Gray’s Inn Road, London WC1.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning held a round table discussion on international opportunities in education for United Kingdom education providers.

His Royal Highness this afternoon gave a Lunch for representatives of the education sector.

The Duke of York afterwards held a seminar on international opportunities for British companies in educational infrastructure.

His Royal Highness, Patron, The Duke of York’s Community Initiative, later received Mr. Simon Blagden, Mr. Martin Davies and Mr. Stephen Beyer (Trustees).

The Duke of York, Chairman, Quad Centenary Council, and Patron, Royal Blackheath Golf Club, this evening gave a Dinner at St. James’s Palace for the Quad Centenary Club.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, President, The Princess Royal Trust for Carers, this morning visited Carers Bromley, Caritas House, Tregony Road, Orpington, Kent, on the occasion of the Twentieth Anniversary, and was received by Colonel Robert Murfin (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

Her Royal Highness, President, the City and Guilds of London Institute, this afternoon visited WorldSkills London at ExCel, 1 Western Gateway, London E16, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Princess Royal this evening opened the exhibition “Admiral Cochrane: the Real Master and Commander” at National Museums Scotland, Chambers Street, Edinburgh, and was received by Sir Angus Grossart (Deputy Lieutenant of the City of Edinburgh).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Opportunity International United Kingdom, this evening held a Supporters’ Dinner at the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning unveiled the Worshipful Company of Plumbers’ Apprentice Statue at Cannon Street Station, London EC4, and subsequently attended a Reception at Innholders Hall, 30 College Street, London EC4.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Severn Valley Railway, this afternoon received Mr. Michael York upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr. Nicholas Paul upon assuming the appointment.
