Buckingham Palace

The Queen held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Her Majesty held a Council at 5.30 p.m.

There were present: the Rt. Hon. Nicholas Clegg MP (Lord President), the Rt. Hon. David Lidington MP (Minister of State, Foreign and Commonwealth Office), the Baroness Warsi (Minister without Portfolio, Cabinet Office) and the Rt. Hon. Patrick McLoughlin MP (Chief Whip, House of Commons).

The Rt. Hon. Frank Mulholland was sworn in as a member of Her Majesty’s Most Honourable Privy Council.

Miss Judith Simpson was in attendance as Clerk of the Council.

The Rt. Hon. Nicholas Clegg MP had an audience of The Queen before the Council.

The Rt. Hon. David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Patron, St. Luke’s Healthcare for the Clergy, this morning received Mr. Patrick Mitford-Slade upon relinquishing his appointment as Chairman and Mr. Bernard Cazenove upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness, Member, the Honourable Artillery Company, today visited the Museum at Armoury House, London EC1, and was received by Colonel Brian Kay (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Member, the Blue Seal Club, this evening attended a Dinner at the Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, London W1.

The Duke of York this morning visited Babcock International Group, 17 Western Road, Park Royal, London NW10.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Bigham’s Limited, 2 McNicol Drive, London NW10.

The Duke of York subsequently attended a Lunch at Bigham’s Limited for small and medium enterprises in the Park Royal Partnership.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Attend, later received Mrs. Pamela Morton at Buckingham Palace upon relinquishing her appointment as Chairman.

The Duke of York afterwards received Sir Eric Peacock (Non-Executive Director, United Kingdom Trade and Investment).

His Royal Highness subsequently held a seminar at Buckingham Palace for British entrepreneurs.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Reception at Lloyd’s, 1 Lime Street, London EC3, for the retirement of the Lord Levene of Portsoken as Chairman.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, this morning attended a Breakfast Meeting at the Lanesborough Hotel, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Honorary Liveryman, afterwards received the Freedom of the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, the Worshipful Company of Fuellers and the Worshipful Company of Gardeners at Haberdashers’ Hall, 18 West Smithfield, London EC1.

The Earl of Wessex, Honorary Liveryman, the Worshipful Company of Haberdashers, the Worshipful Company of Fuellers and the Worshipful Company of Gardeners, this afternoon received the Freedom of the City of London at Guildhall, London EC2, and subsequently attended a Luncheon at Haberdashers’ Hall.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, later held a Meeting at Buckingham Palace.

The Earl of Wessex, Colonel, The London Regiment, this evening attended Beating Retreat and a Dinner at Horseferry Road, London SW1.

The Countess of Wessex, Founder, Wessex Youth Trust, this morning visited the Frieze Art Fair in Regent’s Park, London.

The Princess Royal, Commodore-in-Chief, Portsmouth, this morning visited HMS DIAMOND at sea off Plymouth, Devon.

Her Royal Highness, President, the Mission to Seafarers Limited, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon attended the Annual National Service for Seafarers in St. Paul’s Cathedral, London EC4.

The Princess Royal, Colonel, The Blues and Royals (Royal Horse Guards and 1st Dragoons), this evening attended the Blue Seal Club Dinner at the Cavalry and Guards Club, 127 Piccadilly, London W1.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon visited Walford Mill Crafts, Stone Lane, Wimborne, to mark the Twenty Fifth Anniversary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Dorset (Mrs. Anthony Pitt-Rivers).

Her Royal Highness later officially opened the Stourvale Centre, Young Men’s Christian Association, 108 Stourvale Road, Bournemouth, Dorset.

The Duchess of Gloucester afterwards visited the Kings Park Allotment Project at Kings Park Nursery, Kings Park, Bournemouth.

Appendix to Court Circular

The Queen has been pleased to appoint Dame Rosalind Savill to be a Trustee of the Royal Collection Trust in succession to Dr. Duncan Robinson with effect from 16th March, 2012.
