COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen, Patron, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this morning handed over the keys of the three millionth Motability vehicle at Westminster Hall, Palace of Westminster, London SW1, and was received by the Lord Great Chamberlain and the Chairman of Motability (the Lord Sterling of Plaistow).

The Queen, escorted by the Chairman, and The Duke of Edinburgh, escorted by Mr Gerry Acher (Vice-Chairman), viewed a display of vehicles and met Motability customers and members of staff, and Her Majesty subsequently presented keys to vehicle recipients.

The Duke of Edinburgh, President and Life Member, Windsor Park Equestrian Club, this evening held a Reception at Windsor Castle.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning visited South Tyneside College, Saint George’s Avenue, South Shields, to mark its One Hundred and Fiftieth Anniversary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Tyne and Wear (Mr Nigel Sherlock).

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened EEF House, Queensway North, Team Valley Trading Estate, Gateshead, Tyne and Wear.

The Duke of York subsequently received a briefing at UK Land Estates, Team Valley, Gateshead, followed by a Luncheon to mark the Seventy Fifth Anniversary of Team Valley.

The Duke of York, accompanied by Princess Eugenie of York, afterwards visited the Community Foundation, Newburn Activity Centre, Grange Road, Newburn, Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear.

His Royal Highness, Patron, York Minster Fund, accompanied by Her Royal Highness, later visited York Minster Stoneyard, 4 Deangate, York, and was received by Air Commodore William Gambold (Deputy Lieutenant of North Yorkshire).

The Duke of York, accompanied by Princess Eugenie of York, afterwards visited BBC Radio York, 20 Bootham Row, York.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon launched a Fundraising Appeal for Minchinhampton Centre for the Elderly.

Kensington Palace

The Duchess of Gloucester, President, Royal Academy of Music, was present this afternoon at the conferment of Honorary Membership on Mr. Christian Thielemann at the Royal Academy of Music, Marylebone Road, London NW1.
