The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this evening arrived at the Defence Establishment, Fairbairn, Canberra, Australian Capital Territory, and were received by the Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia (Ms Quentin Bryce), the Hon Julia Gillard MP (Prime Minister) and Ms Katy Gallagher MLA (Chief Minister of the Australian Capital Territory).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness, having been received with a Gun Salute, attended a Ceremonial Welcome and The Queen inspected a Guard of Honour.
The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh subsequently drove to Government House.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon took the oath to become an Honorary Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Joiners and Ceilers of the City of London during a Luncheon at Apothercaries’ Hall, Black Friars Lane, London EC4.
Her Royal Highness, President, the Brooke Hospital for Animals, this evening visited the Exhibition entitled War Horse: Fact and Fiction at National Army Museum, Royal Hospital Road, London SW3, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).
The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, later held a Reception at Clarence House for the Wiltshire Bobby Van Trust.
