The Hon. Tony Abbott MP (Leader of the Opposition) was received by Her Majesty.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this evening attended a Parliamentary Reception at Parliament House and were received by the Prime Minister, Mr. Harry Jenkins MP (Speaker of the House of Representatives), Senator the Hon. John Hogg (President of the Senate), the Leader of the Opposition, and Ms. Jannette Phillips (Ngunnawal Elder).

Her Majesty addressed those present.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Founder and Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Association, this morning received at Government House, Canberra, the Hon. Larry Anthony (National Chairman, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Australia), Ms. Kim Brislane (National Chief Executive Officer, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Australia) and Mr. Craig Andrews (Director of Development, International Award Association).

His Royal Highness, Founder and Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Association, this afternoon attended a Reception for The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award in Australia at Government House.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex this evening attended the Trafalgar Night Dinner at the Royal Naval Club and Royal Albert Yacht Club, 17 Pembroke Road, Portsmouth, and was received by Mr. Nigel Atkinson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire).

Thatched House Lodge, Richmond Park

Princess Alexandra, Royal Colonel, 3rd Battalion The Rifles, this evening attended a Concert near Chichester in aid of the Rifles Care for Casualties and was received by the Earl of March (Deputy Lieutenant of West Sussex).
