The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh this morning visited Australian War Memorial, Treloar Crescent, Campbell, Australian Capital Territory, and were received by Senator the Hon. David Feeney (Parliamentary Secretary for Defence) and the Chairman of Australian War Memorial (General Peter Cosgrove).

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh walked to the Hall of Memory and Her Majesty laid a wreath on the Tomb of the Unknown Australian Soldier.

The Queen and The Duke of Edinburgh proceeded to Commemorative Courtyard and subsequently to Orientation Gallery and met current and former members of the Australian Defence Forces.

By command of The Queen, Mr. Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Yuri Thamrin at 38 Grosvenor Square, London W1, this morning in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from Indonesia to the Court of St. James’s.

The Prince of Wales this morning visited the Weavers’ Triangle, Burnley, and was received by Mr. Rodney Swarbrick (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire).

His Royal Highness this afternoon held a Meeting to discuss the future of the Weavers’ Triangle.

The Prince of Wales, President, The Prince’s Regeneration Trust, later visited Middleport Pottery, Port Street, Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Staffordshire (Sir James Hawley).

His Royal Highness this evening received representatives from Burslem Community and The Prince’s charities.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Unicorn Theatre for Children, today received Mr. Anthony Graham upon relinquishing his appointment as Artistic Director and Miss Purni Morell upon assuming the appointment.

The Duke of York this evening attended a Meeting with Hainan Airlines and Rolls Royce at the Canton Club and was received by Her Majesty’s Consul-General for Guangzhou (Mr. Alastair Morgan).

His Royal Highness afterwards attended a Dinner for Chinese and United Kingdom Businesses at the Canton Club.
