Buckingham Palace

The Duke of Edinburgh, Senior Fellow, the Royal Academy of Engineering, this evening attended the New Fellows’ Dinner at Drapers’ Hall, Throgmorton Avenue, London EC2.

By command of The Queen, Mr Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr Hernán Couturier at 52 Sloane Street, London SW1, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from Peru to the Court of St James’s.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall today carried out the following engagements in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania.

Their Royal Highnesses were received this morning by The President of the United Republic of Tanzania at State House.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards attended a Parade to mark the Fiftieth Anniversary of Independence at the Tanzanian People’s Defence Force Headquarters.

The Prince of Wales, President, WWF-UK, this afternoon attended a World Wide Fund for Nature Seminar at the Double Tree Hotel, Msasani Peninsular, and subsequently presented the World Wide Fund “Gift to the Earth” Award.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Wonder Welders, Karume Road.

The Prince of Wales later visited the Maritime Rescue Co-ordination Centre.

His Royal Highness, President, WaterAid, afterwards visited sustainable developments projects in Kigamboni district.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this evening attended a Dinner given by The President of the United Republic of Tanzania at State House.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited the Wanawake Na Maendeleo Foundation.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning arrived at Heathrow Airport, London, from the United States of America.

Major Charles MacEwan was in attendance.

The Duchess of Gloucester, President, this evening attended a Reception and Concert to mark the One Hundred and Ninetieth Anniversary of the Royal Academy of Music and the One Hundredth Anniversary of the Academy being resident at Marylebone Road, London NW1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Chairman of Trustees, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Commonwealth Study Conferences (United Kingdom Fund), this afternoon attended a Trustees’ Meeting at St James’s Palace.

His Royal Highness, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of Great Britain, this evening attended the Deputy Grand Director of Ceremonies’ Club Dinner, Boodles, 28 St James’s Street, St James’s, London SW1.
