COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Mr. Thambynathan Jasudasen was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for Singapore in London.

Mrs. Jasudasen was also received by Her Majesty.

Her Excellency Mrs. Anne Hedensted Steffensen was received in audience by The Queen and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Denmark to the Court of St. James’s.

Mrs. Lars Lundorf Nielsen was also received by Her Majesty.

Mr. Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

The Queen, Colonel-in-Chief, Royal Scots Dragoon Guards, received Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Biggart upon relinquishing his appointment as Commanding Officer and Lieutenant Colonel Jonathan Bartholomew upon assuming the appointment.

Brigadier Simon Allen (Colonel of the Regiment) was present.

The Rt. Hon. David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Founder and Patron, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Association, this morning received Mrs. Gillian Shirazi upon relinquishing her appointment of Secretary General and Mr. John May upon assuming the appointment.

His Royal Highness, Honorary Trustee, Royal Agricultural Society of England, today was presented with a Fellowship Certificate at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of Edinburgh, this afternoon presented English Speaking Union of the Commonwealth Awards at Buckingham Palace, and subsequently chaired the Council Meeting.

His Royal Highness, Captain General, Royal Marines, this evening attended a Dinner at the Banqueting House, Whitehall, London SW1.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Elder Brother, the Corporation of Trinity House, was represented by Rear Admiral Sir Jeremy de Halpert (Deputy Master) at the Service of Thanksgiving for the Life of Mr. David Coltman (formerly Director) in St. Columba’s Church, Pont Street, London SW1 today.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited a Maasai village near Kilimanjaro, Tanzania.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon visited Legunga School, Kilimanjaro.

The Prince of Wales afterwards attended a Business and Entrepreneurs’ Reception at Mount Meru Lodge.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall later visited Arusha National Park, Arumeru.

The Prince of Wales was represented by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Yorkshire (Dr. Ingrid Roscoe) at the Requiem Mass for Sir Jimmy Savile which was held in St. Anne’s Cathedral, Leeds, this afternoon.

The Duke of York his morning received Mr. Mark King (President, Civil Aerospace) and Mr. Harry Holt (Director, Global Government Relations, Rolls Royce Group plc.).

His Royal Highness today received Mr. Angus Millar (Caspian Energy Adviser, Foreign and Commonwealth Office).

The Duke of York this afternoon received Mr. Nicholas Baird (Chief Executive, United Kingdom Trade and Investment).

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Caring for Life, this afternoon held a Meeting.
