Buckingham Palace

His Excellency Dr. Chris Nonis was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Commission as High Commissioner for Sri Lanka in London.

His Excellency Mr. Daniel Taub was received in audience by Her Majesty and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Israel to the Court of St. James’s.

Mr. Matthew Rycroft (Chief Operating Officer, Foreign and Commonwealth Office) was present.

The Queen received the Bishop of Durham (the Right Reverend Justin Welby) who did homage upon his appointment.

The Rt. Hon. Kenneth Clarke MP (Lord Chancellor and Secretary of State for Justice) administered the Oath.

Her Majesty, Colonel-in-Chief, The Royal Scots Dragoon Guards (Carabiniers and Greys), was entertained to Dinner by past and present Officers this evening at St. James’s Palace, to mark the Fortieth Anniversary of the formation of the Regiment, and was received by the Colonel (Brigadier Simon Allen).

The Duke of Edinburgh, Captain General, Royal Marines, this morning attended a Homecoming and Medals Parade at Royal Marines Base Chivenor, Barnstaple, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Devon (Mr. Eric Dancer).

His Royal Highness this evening attended the Royal Warrant Holders Association Banquet at Guildhall, Gresham Street, London EC2.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, Arts and Business, this afternoon presented The Prince of Wales Medal for Arts Philanthropy at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Soil Association and Garden Organic – the Henry Doubleday Research Association, later held a Food for Life Partnership Meeting.

The Prince of Wales afterwards held a Prince of Wales’s Charitable Foundation Trustees Meeting.

The Duchess of Cornwall, President, Maggie’s Cancer Caring Centres, this morning attended a Reception for Maggie’s Oxford at Headington Hill Hall, Oxford Brookes University, Gipsy Lane, Oxford, and was received by Mr. John Harwood (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Shulman Auditorium at the Queen’s College, Oxford.

The Princess Royal, President, British Olympic Association, later received Mr. Andrew Hunt (Chief Executive) at Buckingham Palace.

The Duke of Gloucester today visited Greater Manchester and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant (Mr. Warren Smith).

His Royal Highness, Patron, Construction Youth Trust, this morning opened the Information and Communication Technology Learning Centre at Falinge Park High School, Falinge Road, Rochdale.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards opened the Casey Group’s new Head Office in Rydings Road, Rochdale.

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Woodland Retreat at Fairfield General Hospital, Rochdale Old Road, Bury.

The Duke of Gloucester later visited the Thinklab and Eco House at the University of Salford, the Crescent, Salford.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited the Authentic Food Company, Sharston Green Business Park, Robeson Way, Manchester, to commemorate their Twenty Fifth Anniversary.

The Duke of Kent, Royal Colonel, 1st Battalion The Rifles, today attended the Homecoming and Medal Parade at Beachley Barracks, Beachley, near Chepstow, Gwent.
