Buckingham Palace

Air Chief Marshal Sir Stephen Dalton (Chief of the Air Staff) was received by The Queen today.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Life Member, Royal Association of British Dairy Farmers, this morning presented The Prince Philip Award at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Senior Colonel, Household Division, this afternoon received Major General George Norton (Major General Household Division).

The Duke of Edinburgh this evening presented The Prince Philip Designers’ Prize at the Design Council, 34 Bow Street, London WC2, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Baroness Rawlings (Baroness in Waiting) was present at Heathrow Airport, London, this afternoon upon the arrival of The President of Austria and Mrs. Fischer and welcomed His Excellency and Mrs. Fischer on behalf of The Queen.

By command of The Queen, Mr. Charles Gray (Marshal of the Diplomatic Corps) called upon His Excellency Mr. Ja Song Nam at 73 Gunnersbury Avenue, London W5, this afternoon in order to bid farewell to His Excellency upon relinquishing his appointment as Ambassador from the Democratic Republic of Korea to the Court of St. James’s.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited Lincoln Cathedral to mark the inauguration of His Royal Highness’s patronage of the Lincoln Cathedral Fabric Fund and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire (Mr. Anthony Worth).

The Prince of Wales this afternoon visited Riseholme College, Riseholme Park, Lincoln.

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall later visited the Cholmeley Arms, Burton-le-Coggles, Grantham, Lincolnshire.

The Duchess of Cornwall this afternoon visited Great Hale Magna Village Hall, Little Hale Road, Great Hale, Sleaford, and was received by Mr. Graham Rowles Nicholson (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Lincolnshire).

The Countess of Wessex, Chairman, Women in Business (promoting The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award), this evening attended a reception at Bonhams, Montpelier Street, London SW7.

The Princess Royal, Patron, UK Youth, this afternoon held the Hearing Unheard Voices Awards Ceremony at St. James’s Palace.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Injured Jockeys’ Fund, later attended a board meeting at the Mint Hotel, Westminster, 30 John Islip Street, London SW1.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Sports Coach UK, this evening attended the UK Coaching Awards ceremony and dinner at Jumeirah Carlton Tower, Cadogan Place, London SW1.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened the Applied Learning Centre at Ullswater Community College, Wetheriggs Lane, Penrith, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Cumbria (Sir James Cropper).

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the Roman Frontier Gallery at the Tullie House Museum and Art Gallery Trust, Castle Street, Carlisle.

The Duke of Gloucester subsequently visited Carlisle Youth Zone, Victoria, Place, Carlisle.

The Duchess of Gloucester this afternoon opened Extra Care Housing’s Alexandra Place, South Lake Crescent, Woodley, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of the Royal County of Berkshire (the Hon. Mrs Bayliss) Her Royal Highness later presented The Queen’s Awards for Voluntary Services to local organisations at the Town Hall, Blagrave Street, Reading, Berkshire.

The Duchess of Gloucester, Patron, this evening attended a reception to mark the fortieth anniversary of the Foundation for the Study of Infant Death at the Royal College for Pathologists, 2 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Royal Patron, the American Air Museum in Britain, this morning departed from Heathrow Airport, London, for the United States of America.
