Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning received Mr. Peter Pledger (Chairman, the Confederation of Apprenticeship Training Agencies).

His Royal Highness, Patron, English National Ballet, received Mr. Craig Hassall upon relinquishing his appointment as Managing Director.

The Duke of York this afternoon received Sir Jeremy Heywood (Cabinet Secretary).

His Royal Highness later visited the British Educational Training and Technology Show at Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London W14.

The Duke of York afterwards received the Rt. Hon. Andrew Mitchell MP (Secretary of State for International Development).

The Earl of Wessex today visited Oxford and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Oxfordshire (Mr. Timothy Stevenson).

His Royal Highness this morning visited East Oxford School, Union Street, Oxford, in support of the Oxfordshire Community Foundation Project.

The Earl of Wessex afterwards launched the Oxfordshire Community Foundation Diamond Jubilee Appeal at the Hub, Turl Street, Oxford.

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited the Story Museum, Rochester House, Pembroke Street, Oxford.

The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, subsequently visited Amey plc., the Sherard Building, Edmund Halley Road, Oxford.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Dyslexia Action, this morning held a Meeting.

Her Royal Highness, Colonel-in-Chief, Corps of Army Music, later received Colonel Mark Cuthbert-Jones upon relinquishing his appointment as Commandant and Colonel Barry Jenkins upon assuming the appointment.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, Royal College of Speech and Language Therapists, this afternoon held a Meeting.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, President, Royal Yachting Association, accompanied by Vice Admiral Sir Tim Laurence, this afternoon attended the Boat Show Luncheon at Excel, 1 Western Gateway, Royal Victoria Dock, London E16.

Her Royal Highness, Chancellor, University of London, later attended the Institute of Commonwealth Studies Seminar and Reception at the Senate House, Malet Street, London WC1.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Patron, Buck’s Club, this evening attended a Dinner at 18 Clifford Street, London W1, to celebrate the Fortieth Anniversary of His Royal Highness’s Patronage.
