Sandringham, Norfolk

The Queen, accompanied by The Princess Royal, Patron, the Jubilee Woods Project, today planted a commemorative tree at the site of the Diamond Jubilee Wood on Sandringham Estate and was received by the Chairman of the Woodland Trust (Dr Nicola Nicholls) and Mrs Georgina McLeod (Head of Jubilee Woods, the Woodland Trust).

Her Majesty and Her Royal Highness, escorted by Miss Sue Holden (Chief Executive, the Woodland Trust), met members of staff of the Woodland Trust and viewed local schoolchildren who were planting trees.

His Royal Highness afterwards officially launched The Prince’s Charities International Sustainability Unit Marine programme at Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge, London EC4.
