The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall this morning visited the Charles Dickens Museum, 48 Doughty Street, Camden Town, London WC1, to mark the bicentenary of his birth, and were received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Prince of Wales and The Duchess of Cornwall afterwards attended the Dickens Bicentenary Wreathlaying Ceremony in Westminster Abbey, London SW1, and His Royal Highness laid a wreath.

The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, this afternoon held a Mosaic International Summit Report Back at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness, Patron, the Hereford Cathedral Perpetual Trust, this evening attended a Reception at 3 Parliament Street, Westminster, London SW1.

The Prince of Wales, Patron, this evening held a Dinner for the Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership at Clarence House.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York this morning visited Symetrica Security Limited, Phi House, Enterprise Road, Southampton Science Park, Southampton, and was received by Rear Admiral Iain Henderson (Deputy Lieutenant of Hampshire).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited the University of Southampton Careers Fair, the Optoelectronics Research Centre and the Nanofabrication Centre, University Road, Southampton.

The Duke of York this afternoon visited Chichester College, Westgate Fields, Chichester, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of West Sussex (Mrs Susan Pyper).

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Aspinal of London, Aspinal House, Highfield, Midhurst Road, Fernhurst, West Sussex.

The Duke of York, Patron, this evening gave a Dinner for the Friends of Lakefield College School.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl of Wessex this morning visited Hornby St Margaret’s Church of England Primary School, Main Street, Hornby, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire (the Lord Shuttleworth).

His Royal Highness later visited Bowland Pennine Mountain Rescue Team Training and Vehicl Base, Creamery Industrial Estate, Kenlis Road, Barnacre, Preston, Lancashire.

The Earl of Wessex this afternoon visited recently restored areas of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, including the Big Pizza Kitchen, the new Blackpool Nickelodeon Land Development, the Winter Gardens and Festival House, Blackpool, Lancashire.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited the University Centre at Blackpool and the Fylde College, Bennett Avenue, Blackpool.

The Countess of Wessex, Patron, the Wells Cathedral Chorister Trust, this evening attended a Concert and Dinner at St James’s Palace.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal, Patron, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, this morning visited Buckingham Winslow and District Citizens Advice Bureau, Wheeldon House, Market Hill, Buckingham, to commemorate its Thirtieth Anniversary, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire (Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher, Bt).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Butler Trust, later visited Oakhill Secure Training Centre, Chalgrove Field, Oakhill, Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire.

The Princess Royal, President, Riding for the Disabled Association, this afternoon visited Bank Farm, Bank Farm, Bank Green, Bellingdon, Chesham, Buckinghamshire, to mark its Twenty Fifth Anniversary.

Her Royal Highness, Royal Honorary Colonel, University of London Officers’ Training Corps and Honorary Air Commodore, University of London Air Squadron, this evening attended the Military Education Committee Reception at University of London, Senate House, Malet Street, London WC1.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning opened the Palliative Care Centre, Goscote Lane, Goscote, Walsall, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of West Midlands (Mr Paul Sabapathy).

His Royal Highness this afternoon opened the new Wards at Walsall Manor Hospital, Moat Road, Walsall.

The Duke of Gloucester subsequently re-opened the renovated In-Patient Unit at Compton Hospice, the Cedars, 39 Compton Road West, Wolverhampton.
