Admiral Sir Mark Stanhope (First Sea Lord and Chief of the Naval Staff) was received by The Queen today.
The Queen, Air Commodore-in-Chief, Royal Air Force Regiment, received Air Commodore Russell La Forte upon relinquishing his appointment as Commandant General and Air Commodore Nicholas Bray upon assuming the appointment.
The Queen, Patron, the Royal Theatrical Fund, and The Duke of Edinburgh this afternoon were present at a performance to commemorate the Bicentenary of the birth of Charles Dickens at Guildhall, London EC2, and were received by the Rt Hon the Lord Mayor (Alderman David Wootton), the Chairman of the Royal Theatrical Fund (Mr Paul Gane) and Sir Donald Sinden (President).
Her Majesty and His Royal Highness this evening gave a Reception at Buckingham Palace to commemorate the Bicentenary of the birth of Charles Dickens.
The Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, The Duke of Kent and Princess Alexandra, the Hon. Lady Ogilvy were present.
The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

The Prince of Wales this evening gave a Dinner for Royal Navy, Army and Royal Air Force Officers at Clarence House.

The Duchess of Cambridge, Patron, Action on Addiction, this morning visited the Brink, 15-21 Parr Street, Liverpool, and was received by was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Merseyside (Dame Lorna Muirhead).
Her Royal Highness this afternoon officially opened Ronald McDonald House, Alder Road, Liverpool.
The Duchess of Cambridge later visited Alder Hey Hospital, Eaton Road, Liverpool.

The Duke of York this afternoon visited Nanoco Group plc, 46 Grafton Street, Manchester, and afterwards held a discussion with Fellows from the Royal Society.
