The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning attended the St Lucia Independence Day Parade and celebrations at the Sab, Vigie, St Lucia, West Indies, and were received by the Governor General of St Lucia (Her Excellency Dame Pearlette Louisy).
Their Royal Highnesses later attended a youth performance and cultural display to celebrate The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee at the Sandals Grande St Lucian Spa and Beech Resort, Pigeon Island Causeway, Gros Islet, St Lucia.
The Earl of Wessex, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, and The Countess of Wessex afterwards attended a Reception for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award, at the Sandals Grande St Lucian Spa and Beech Resort.
