COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

Her Excellency Ms Ana Irene Delgado was received in audience by The Queen today and presented the Letters of Recall of her predecessor and her own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Panama to the Court of St James’s.

His Excellency Mr Iulian Fruntasu was received in audience by Her Majesty and presented the Letters of Recall of his predecessor and his own Letters of Credence as Ambassador from Moldova to the Court of St James’s.

Ms Marianne Mahaffey was also received by The Queen.

Mr Simon Fraser (Permanent Under-Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs) was present.

The President of the Republic of Seychelles visited Her Majesty.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Honorary Fellow, Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining, this morning presented The Prince Philip Award at Buckingham Palace and afterwards attended a Luncheon at 6-9 Carlton House Terrace, London SW1.

His Royal Highness, Honorary Member, this evening presented the Royal Charter to the Institution of Engineering Designers, at St James’s Palace.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, President, Business in the Community, this morning held a Meeting at Clarence House.

His Royal Highness afterwards received the Rt Hon Sir John Major KG (Chairman, The Queen Elizabeth Diamond Jubilee Trust).

The President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria called upon The Prince of Wales this afternoon.

His Royal Highness, President, Business in the Community, later attended the “Community Summit” at the Roundhouse, Chalk Farm Road, Camden, London NW1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Prince of Wales, President, this evening attended a Reception for The Prince’s Trust “Invest in Futures” at the Savoy Hotel, Strand, London WC2.

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, the Langford Trust, this morning opened the Alborada Building at the School of Veterinary Sciences, University of Bristol, Langford, and subsequently unveiled a plaque to commemorate the opening of the Small Animal Surgery, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Somerset (Lady Gass).

Her Royal Highness this afternoon opened the new Centre for Neonatal Intensive Care at the Royal United Hospital Bath NHS Trust, Combe Park, Bath.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning arrived in the Port of Bridgetown, Barbados, West Indies, on behalf of The Queen in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee.

Their Royal Highnesses later attended a Joint Sitting of the Parliament of Barbados, met Senators and Members of the Lower House and attended a Reception in Trafalgar Street, Bridgetown.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex afterwards visited the West Wing Museum, Parliament of Barbados, Trafalgar Street.

Their Royal Highnesses this afternoon opened an exhibition showcasing education and achievements in Barbados during the period 1952-2012 at the Errol Barrow Centre for Creative Imagination, University of the West Indies, Cave Hill Campus, Cave Hill, St Michael.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex afterwards visited the Wall at 3W’s Kensington Oval in Bridgetown.

Their Royal Highnesses subsequently attended a Luncheon given by the Chancellor of the University of the West Indies at Champers Restaurant, Torrington Skeet’s Hill, Rockley, Christ Church.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex this evening attended a State Dinner given by the Governor General of Barbados (Sir Clifford Straughn Husbands) followed by an Evening Garden Party at Government House, Government Hill, Bridgetown.

The Princess Royal, Patron, the Jubilee Woods Project, this morning planted a commemorative tree at Blue Peter Studios, Mediacity UK, Broadway, Salford, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater Manchester (Mr Warren Smith).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the Butler Trust, this afternoon visited Greater Manchester Probation Trust, Intensive Alternative to Custody, Vektor House, 6-10 Hanover Street, Manchester.

The Princess Royal, Patron, Catch 22, afterwards attended the “Routes to Replication” Seminar at the Bridgewater Hall, Lower Mosley Street, Manchester.

Her Royal Highness, Patron, the National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux, later opened Moss Side Citizens Advice Bureau Community Legal Advice Service at 159 Princess Road, Moss Side, Manchester.

The Princess Royal, Chancellor, University of London, this evening attended the Royal Anniversary Trust’s Banquet at Guildhall, London EC2.

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester this morning visited Leyland Trucks Limited, Croston Road, Leyland, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Lancashire (the Lord Shuttleworth).

His Royal Highness this afternoon visited Preston North End Stadium, Sir Tom Finney Way, Deepdale, Preston, Lancashire, on the occasion of Preston being awarded European City of Sport Status 2012.

The Duke of Gloucester afterwards visited Preston College, Fulwood Campus, St Vincent’s Road, Preston.

His Royal Highness later visited Brockholes Nature Reserve, Preston New Road, Samlesbury, Lancashire.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Chancellor, University of Surrey, this evening attended a Banquet for The Queen’s Anniversary Prizes for Higher and Further Education at Guildhall, London EC2.
