The Earl and Countess of Wessex this morning arrived in St Vincent and the Grenadines on behalf of The Queen in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee.

Their Royal Highnesses later received the Governor-General of St. Vincent and the Grenadines (His Excellency Sir Frederick Ballantyne) on board RFA Fort Rosalie.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex afterwards visited the Botanical Gardens, Old Montrose, Kingstown.

His Royal Highness, Trustee, The Duke of Edinburgh’s Award International Foundation, accompanied by Her Royal Highness, subsequently attended a Reception for young people who have achieved the Gold Standard in the Award at Government House, Old Montrose.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex today attended a State Lunch at Government House.

Their Royal Highnesses, accompanied by the Governor-General and the Prime Minister of St Vincent and the Grenadines (Dr Ralph Gonsalves), later visited the Jubilee Gardens, Port Elizabeth, Bequia.

The Earl and Countess of Wessex afterwards attended a Reception at the Frangipani Hotel, Port Elizabeth.
