COURT CIRCULAR

Buckingham Palace

The Queen, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, this morning unveiled a Jubilee Greenway disc outside Buckingham Palace and was received by The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Jubilee Walkway Trust, and Mr. Hugo Vickers (Chairman).

The Queen, Patron, King’s College London, accompanied by The Duke of Edinburgh, later opened the renovated East Wing of Somerset House, Strand, London WC2, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer), the Chairman of the College Council (the Marquess of Douro) and Professor Sir Richard Trainor (Principal).

Her Majesty, escorted by the Chairman, viewed a photographic exhibition in the Inigo Rooms, viewed a student moot court in session in the School of Law and met students and members of staff.

His Royal Highness, escorted by the Principal, visited the School of Law.

The Rt. Hon. David Cameron MP (Prime Minister and First Lord of the Treasury) had an audience of Her Majesty this evening.

The Duke of Edinburgh, Freeman and Liveryman, the Worshipful Company of Fishmongers, this evening attended a Livery Dinner at Fishmongers’ Hall, London EC4.

The Prince of Wales, on behalf of The Queen, held an Investiture at Buckingham Palace this morning.

Clarence House

The Prince of Wales, Founder and President, The Prince’s Foundation for Building Community, this afternoon attended The Prince of Wales’s Building Crafts Apprentice Graduation Ceremony, 19-22 Charlotte Road, Shoreditch, London EC2.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Memorial and Reception in memory of Mr. Václav Havel (former President of Czechoslovakia and the Czech Republic) at the Royal Institute of British Architects, 66 Portland Place, London W1, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Greater London (Sir David Brewer).

The Duchess of Cornwall, Patron, Booktrust, this afternoon received Mrs. Julia Donaldson (Children’s Laureate) and Mrs. Vivien Bird (Chief Executive). Her Royal Highness this evening held a Reception at Clarence House for World Book Night 2012.

Buckingham Palace

The Duke of York today carried out the following engagements in Bangkok, Thailand.

His Royal Highness this morning visited the British Council’s “Everything Forever Now” Exhibition at the Thailand Creative and Design Centre at the Emporium Mall.

The Duke of York this afternoon attended a Lunch for Thai companies given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand (His Excellency Mr. Asif Ahmad) at the Residence.

His Royal Highness afterwards visited Sahaviriya Steel Industries plc.

The Duke of York was later received by The King and Queen of Thailand at the Siriraj Hospital.

His Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner for Thought Leaders given by Her Majesty’s Ambassador to the Kingdom of Thailand at the Residence.

Buckingham Palace

The Earl and Countess of Wessex today carried out engagements in Trinidad and Tobago, West Indies.

The Earl of Wessex this morning visited Belmont School, Belmont, Port of Spain.

The Earl of Wessex, accompanied by The Countess of Wessex, today represented The Duke of Edinburgh as Honorary Colonel of the Trinidad and Tobago Regiment at the Trinidad and Tobago Defence Force Parade, Western Main Road, Chaguaramas.

The Countess of Wessex, Grand President, St. John Ambulance in the Priory of England and the Islands, accompanied by The Earl of Wessex, this afternoon visited St. John’s Ambulance Headquarters, Wrightson Road, Port of Spain.

Their Royal Highness this evening attended a Dinner given by the British High Commissioner to Trinidad and Tobago (His Excellency Mr. Arthur Snell) at Hyatt Regency Trinidad, Wrightson Road.

The Countess of Wessex this morning visited the Princess Elizabeth Centre, Ariapita Avenue, Port of Spain.

Buckingham Palace

The Princess Royal this morning visited the Pitcaple Environmental Project at the Pitscurry Project, Whiteford, Pitcaple, Inverurie, and was received by Mrs. Joyce Mackie (Vice Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire).

Her Royal Highness, Patron, Royal Northern Agricultural Society today visited the Royal Northern Spring Show at Thainstone Agricultural Centre, Inverurie, and was received by Her Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant of Aberdeenshire (Mr. James Ingleby).

Kensington Palace

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Jubilee Walkway Trust, this morning attended the unveiling of the Jubilee Greenway Disc to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee by The Queen at Buckingham Palace.

His Royal Highness, Patron, Jubilee Walkway Trust, afterwards attended a Lunch onboard the Golden Jubilee Boat on the River Thames, Westminster Pier, Victoria Embankment, London SW1, and was received by Commander John Ludgate (Deputy Lieutenant of Greater London).

The Duke of Gloucester, Patron, Jubilee Walkway Trust, this afternoon unveiled a Lit Feature at the Olympic Park, Stratford, London E15.

St James’s Palace

The Duke of Kent, Grand Master, United Grand Lodge of England, this evening attended the Board of Grand Stewards Dinner at Buck’s Club, 18 Clifford Street, London W1.

Appendix to Court Circular

The Queen has appointed the Hon. Charles Armstrong-Jones to be a Page of Honour to Her Majesty in succession to Jack Soames with effect from Thursday, 1st March 2012.
